Feast of Ullr / Feast of the hunters, November 27th
The name Ullr occurred in paganism. Ullr was a great warrior, hunter and he was known as the God of the bow or the great God of hunters. The Feast of Ullr (the Feast of the hunters) was celebrated on November 27th. The main aim of the ritual, which should take place before the feast, is to seek blessings for any weapons which are used for hunting. Then the weapons should be more successful during the winter hunting season. This kind of the ritual is also used to ask for succes and luck for your tribe and your personal lives. The celebration which should held then should reflect the wild hunt. On the celebratory table should be placed meal prepared from wild animals (duck, deer, pheasant, etc.) with other foods which you can find in forests (edible mushrooms, various edible berries). For drinking is suitable to prepare delicious wine, beer, mead or herb tea. There should be prepared a plate and a cup for Ullr on the table as well. This feast is an important act that honors the pagan deity.
