It is a ritual as old as humanity itself. A ritual, which was formed at a time when the fireball above the sky in the east was the vital eye of the one and most powerful god. The world was at the time very easy, simple and natural. People worshiped the Sun at sunrise and sunset. They were reaching out their arms, as a child would do to its mother. At the time, the first thoughts of timeless reasoning and abstract expression were created. Also the first and oldest mandala of the world was established – pentagram. Not pentagram with one point upward and two downward – it is a rigid state of a person who stands astride, arms outstretched, awaiting their fate. In ancient times, people saw their characters in the red sunsetting disc of Sun as a pentagram with two points in an upward direction and one downward. Two legs tightly together, same as angels are depicted, at one point hands apart, stretched, proving the victims of life-giving energy, and at another point hands erected to the heavens as a universal sign of reverence. Then we were “only” the Children of the Sun. The Sun gave us the opportunity to grow up until today, when we have almost forgotten everything valuable and when everything is difficult for us.
Well, how about starting the coveted “big change” of the new world by respecting natural things of ancient times and at least once in a while welcome the Sun with a small ritual gesture that may seem ridiculous, silly nowadays but it has always been firmly fixed in our history through thousands and thousands of years. And, it certainly has a great importance in everyone’s heart!

June 21st is an important day in many cultures. The astronomical summer begins on this longest day and in the northern hemisphere the summer solstice (Latin sostitium) occurs. The sun reaches its peak and is at its most powerful. After this date, the next days become shorter and the sun becomes slowly weaker. The original pagan celebration has its origin in the Celtic-Germanic tradition and is based on this finding.
The feast of the summer solstice is called Mean Samhraidh, Alban Heruin (Hevin), Litha, Comhain, Midsummer.
According to the Celtic calendar the summer solstice belongs to the period of oak (Dair). It celebrates the connection of the healing power of the sun and water. Light triumphs over darkness.
The way of celebrating the summer solstice was very similar to the celebration of Beltaine. People tried to supplement the power and strength of the sun by lighting fires on high hills. They danced and sang around the fires and jumped through them. They blessed cattle with herbs, which were lit in the sacred fires. Burnt wood and ash from the solstice fires were thrown on the fields to ensure a good harvest and to summon the rain. People worshiped and decorated trees with ribbons, particularly oak, wells and springs.
The church didn’t like the celebration of the summer solstice, as well as Beltane. They tried to convince people to cancel these festivities, but it wasn’t successful. And so they accepted this feast but renamed it to Midsummer according to John the Baptist, whose birth is also celebrated in this period (St John’s Eve – the evening of 23rd June).
Mysterious powers come to life during the shortest night of the year and spells have a strong effect. It pays to collect the medicinal herbs that have especially great strength during this mysterious night.
Do you believe in the power of relics? In the things with supernatural power? With a huge spiritual value or even transcendent power? Due to the hunt for relics, the worst atrocities have been carried out. Murders, torture, genocide. And why? – If the power of the relics really exists, we can safely say that it has brought only evil into the world. And this result is quite debatable. Or perhaps we could say that only a human in his greed is capable of doing these atrocities and the relics themselves cannot be blamed for anything? What is their significance then? Were the ancient Templars protected by plundered relics from destruction of their order? Did the destiny lance bring the coveted immortality and invincibility to Adolf Hitler? Maybe the problem is somewhere else – perhaps it is that the relics are vitally stolen from places where they naturally belong and from people to whom they were given for a purpose. And so they execute their curses on us – the thieves of the modern era.
Strange stones with mysterious symbols are located on many castles from the times of medieval Europe. Academic science for a blind and stupid human herd created an explanation that they are numbered stones so the builders knew where they belonged. Apparently this system is also used today during reconstructions. Oh yes – science is a science so stupid unintelligent people who were sitting at schools half of their lives, can be put aside. Science in this case does not answer why a builder would number ten stones from all over the castle, unrelated to one area and yet in such a strange style which is worthy of secret mystical alphabet. Moreover, this mysterious fact is found only sometimes and sometimes not. However, more interestingly, is the finding that these castles were visited by mystic scholars during their history, such as Edward Kelley and John Dee. That’s a much more impressive clue to solving the mystery. However, what these scholars intended to mark in the castles? Places of some phenomena? Earth chakras? Or was it magical talismans for protection? Or perhaps we can go even further and state that the symbols and these kinds of clues were left by the descendants of scattered Templar? That’s something we will probably never know. Until the same great and infallible science refuses to let us into medieval archives and materials from which science itself creates this amusing nonsense. But … what would be left of science without it?
Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara) is a herb that has anti-inflammatory and disinfecting qualities. It helps to remove phlegm and is used to treat inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, pneumonia, colds, flu, fever, rheumatism, etc. It reduces inflammations, burns and sore and swollen joints.
This herb is added to love amulets. It should bring quiet and peace to people who wear it. It is popular in rituals associated with totem animals. It is used as an ingredient in potions as part of spells that help evoke alchemical animals. Coltsfoot belongs to the group accelerators, this means that it is added to spells as an extra ingredient and gives them more power and thus increases its duration, like mandragora. Smoking coltsfoot leaves can cause visions.
Ritual of coltsfoot
Pour ¼ liter of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of flowers and 1 teaspoon of cut coltsfoot leaves and bring to the boil and remove from the heat and leave it to infuse for 10 minutes. Decant the tea through a sieve and drink slowly at the end of each day from full moon to full moon for a period of a lunar month. The tea shouldn’t be used permanently. The drink helps to release negative emotions. It releases envy and jealousy, which have remained trapped in the throat and have been hidden. It helps embittered people who are afraid of admitting their wrong and rancorous feelings.

May 27 is a day dedicated to the goddess Frigga, who was the wise wife of Odin. She is a patron of the home and married women, she helps to maintain social order and watches over women’s magic. She is linked to nature and the cycle of life and death.
Give thanks to one of the great Mother Goddesses for the health of family, children and the whole tribe. Enjoy and rejoice in the beautiful spring weather and warmth. Celebrate the wonders of spring, a time full of love, life and joy.
During the current celebrations in honor of Frigga, people sacrifice mead, wine or beer, instead of the ritual killing of an animal. This event is a ritual family celebration, which takes place outdoors and consists of three parts – the consecration of the sacrifice, the offering of the sacrifice to the goddess, and the libation. Mistletoe or linden tree branches with berries are used for decoration.
Relatives and acquaintances, who participate in this occasion, renew bonds of friendship and loyalty. During the feast people drink the best mead, beer or apple cider. They eat ox or boar from the spit, bread, grain products, apples and other products of the earth. It adheres to the rule that it is best to quit while you are ahead!
If you wish Frigga to bless your home, light the candle in her honour and it invokes her, or you can offer her some grainy bread and mead.
